Hope We never Have another Week Like this ONE!

Well, last Sunday started out like any other, we did our grocery shopping and came home.  Hubby decided to wash the love bugs off of his car for the last time this year.  My son and I went into town to pick up some lunch and when we came back he was having a heart attack.  If we had been just a few minutes later, he probably would have died.  Anyway, I called 911, my son cut his clothes off and got an aspirin down him and they took him to Shands Gainesville.  He died on the table and they shocked him back twice.  It turns out he has a rare heart disease, that has caused numerous aneurysms inside the heart and in all the arteries leading to the heart.  They were able to place one stent.  No one is quite sure what to do as this is so rare.  He is home now and resting. We are trying to get him to retire, but you know how men are.

My hubby, my SIL Matilde and his brother Eddie. A big thank you to them and his mom and other brother John, who also came down.  And to Marie, another sister, who gifted him with an Ancestry.com subscription to help keep him busy (sitting down).
One of the few items I finished this weekend
I found this burlap fabric at Joanns and made a few stockings
And I couldn't resist this picture of Shadow, he has the "life"  nothing but eat, sleep and play.  I hope everyone has a great week.

  1. Oh my goodness how scary!! So glad he is alive, wow. If that is not a hint to retire, I don't know what is.

Very cute picture of Shadow! I love when our Twinkle sleeps upside down anywhere he wants.

Love that burlap fabric for those stockings, they came out great.

  3. So sorry to hear about your husband. Hope the doctors can figure out a treatment and soon. So thankful you got home in time. Love the little mouse but the stockings are wonderful. WIll have to check our Joanns to see if they have the fabric. Looks like Shadow has the right idea. Hope your week proves to be much better than last week.

  9. Cyndy...Hope your husband gets well soon. Isn't it great having a son who is trained to deal with emergencies. I don't know what I would have done...thank goodness you both arrived in time. Tell hubby that retirement is great...so my husband says (he is partially retired with December 31st being his last day). He only goes in maybe 1-2 days a week. I am looking forward to mine...2 1/2 more years after this one!

    Love the mouse and stockings!
