It seems like forever since I posted.  Christmas has come and gone, I always pack up my Christmas tree and decorations the day after.  These are pictures from our work party, I forgot to take any at home!  I think we must have been very good last year!

My good friend Debbie and Christina
Christina's daughters came over for a visit, I made Nessa a ballerina doll and Cassie a sock monkey.  I think they liked them.
I finally caught up with orders and got to work on some new dolls, I love this chicken print that I found for her apron.
A special order for a friend of mine, she wanted a doll with ladybugs, for her granddaughter, who is nicknamed "Ladybug"  I included a little purse so grandma could add a little extra, if she wanted.
I have been busy with Valentine dolls, thtese have been very popular.  I found  two pieces of the cutter quilt on EBAY, I wish I could find a whole quilt.
Hubby is feeling better, he still gets tired easily, He is retiring the first of Feb. I told him he would need to learn how to stuff dolls, with all of that time on his hands.  We had lunch with Mary and her hubby and shopped at Traders Joes.
I recently did a swap with Debbie Kiefer, of Deb's Sweet Treats, she wanted a baking themed Raggedy and I wanted some Grinch cookies for my hubby, who is a diehard Grinch collector.
they were a big hit with him, her cookies take great too.  You can find her on FB.

Two more new dolls, the first is a sewing themed doll and the other is a sock monkey themed Annie.
 My first boy doll
 More Valentine dolls .....
 Another Valentine doll....
It's back to work tomorrow, I had to only take two days off and got 11 days off in a row, our county gave us two extra days for the holidays, I think they were feeling a little guilty since we haven't had a raise in 5 years!  But it sure was nice, definitely don't want to hear the alarm go off at 5:30 in the morning.

Wishing everyone a happy New Year!

  1. Love the boy doll..I don't make the dolls with hair..just to much work for me to handle..I Love yours. We have been without T V since last Thursday and tech is supposed to come tomorrow..horray..I was able to get a lot done in sewing room though..organized all my fabric..Now I have a big mess in dining room to go through and make piles to list on ebay and what I will keep. To cold out to do anything else (17 degrees) so I will just stay in and keep sorting and packing and listing :)

  3. Your dolls look great. The dolls I did never did sell, so no more dolls for me! Some people just have the knack to sell them. Glad you're doing well, Blessings, Laura R.

  6. You know I love all of your raggedy dolls, but the ones holding the quilted hearts have to be my favorties. They are so cute! Glad your husband is doing better.

  7. Cyndy...You know I just LOVE the dolls you make (especially since I have numerous ones in my collection)! It's going to be difficult picking one to add. Good news about hubby's health and his retirement. My hubby officially retired December 31st and reminded me this morning that I didn't need to make sure he was up before I left to go to work :( I have three years from Feb. 3rd and I can join him...can't wait...I'm counting the days :) Can't wait to be my own boss!!
