It has really been awhile since I posted. I have been really busy with orders, finally getting caught up.
I finally brought home the cat we tamed at the library. He is adjusting well, loves living indoors with a few visits outside. We called him LC for Library Cat (which is where I work) and I changed it to Shadow, since I now have a shadow everywhere I go.
He discovered my craft room and found a new hiding spot.
I made up this pattern by Sweet Meadows Farm, I attached them to a board. I love her patterns.
I worked on a small pennyrug for fall. I needed a break from dolls, so spent a morning on this.
I also made up some more sock monkey dolls and a sock monkey.
Last weekend we went antiquing and I snapped a few pics of some of my favorite items.
lots of bobbins, but they wanted $3.00 for each and I am waiting for the MacIntosh festival where I can get them for a $1.00 each.
An old winder
I bought a wooden box for display and 2 old Christmas ornaments for $12.00, I forgot to take a picture of it.
Not much news here, the state of Florida has a hurricane watch in effect,we have had so much rain this rain, everyday, some days up to 3-4 inches, so probably more flooding if it doesn't turn. Keeping our fingers crossed, we are so tired of rain!!!!!!!! We live on a sandhill and we still have standing water.
Well, tomorrow off to Joann's again, need yet more fabric and I have 4 coupons that I have to USE!
I hope everyone has a great weekend.

ReplyDeleteoh I love your shadow kitty...what a cutie and so happy that he is adjusting to life at your place and loves your craft room..man you have been busy..love the antique goodies that are pictured...I hope your rain stops because of the flooding and that you don't get any hurricanes..that just scares me..have a great weekend shopping at joanns..it seems those are the only coupons I use faithfully when I shop there..its been a while since I have been there..guess I need to start selling off my fabric as I just don't sew much anymore..am loving my crocheting so much these days..hoping they will do well at the show this year and that i have found my niche.;)

Haven't taught K in about 10 years and I am definitely feeling my age. Glad to hear you are filling orders and are working hard...just LOVE your stuff. Your new family addition looks so sweet. Love those sock dolls, Cyndy! Bless you for taking in Shadow! Don't hate the rain! When you live on a lake, you're happy to see ANY amount that you get! Of course, it helps that I live up on a bluff where Noah would've built his Ark!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the spools!! Can't WAIT for Fall and McIntosh! We'll have to meet up....maybe Sandy's booth if she's there this year!

Cyndy,
ReplyDeleteOh he's sooo pretty. How lucky of him to pick you for his human. I'm sure he will be spoiled soon, if not already!
Love the penny rug. And of course you know I am just partial to your raggedies and sock monkeys.

ReplyDeleteLove your black cat shadow. He looks like he's adjusted quite well among your dollies! Thank-you for giving him a home. I adore cats and have a couple myself...one is black like shadow.
ReplyDeleteLove your pics showing your work. Your dolls are so sweet. I know exactly what you mean about "taking a break" from dolls. You did an excellent job on the pennyrug.
I also love the stove!
